RecycleX uses clearly defined processes, guided by industry and government standards, to ensure all digital data is destroyed. Our audited processes provide peace of mind, accountability and assurance that your company’s privacy and corporate reputation remain intact. Working with RecycleX, the leading vendor in the industry, you can rest assured your IT assets will be securely and responsibly managed. We protect your data and your company’s reputation. Our services meet international data security standards. Our cyber security insurance shields against data breach liability. We use certified shredding equipment.
Because data breaches have become more common, companies are seeking to proactively manage digital data both in their live environment and on retired assets. On-site data destruction is being mandated more frequently today across large and small companies. RecycleX not only destroys data on-site, we also execute the remaining services including refurbishment, redeployment, resale and recycling. Our on-site data destruction services allow you to witness and verify that data has been destroyed while devices are still in your custody. We inventory and destroy data on retired hard drives and storage media. Our on-site shredding services enable us to shred thousands of drives per day at your office or data centre.
The on-site data destruction services meet key industry guidelines and include:
RecycleX offers tamper-proof, lockable storage bins to secure hard drives, CDs, DVDs, thumb drives, mobile phones and other data-bearing storage devices until they are ready to be collected or if collections are sufficient, to warrant a RecycleX technician coming on-site. These secure bins can also be used to transport storage devices to the RecycleX facility for final processing.
By erasing rather than destroying your hard drives, they can either be redeployed within your organisation or resold - a great solution for destroying data and ensuring value recovery. RecycleX offers several solutions for erasing data from drives still in laptops, servers, storage area networks (SANs) and network attached storage (NAS). Drive erasure also reduces the risks and costs associated with returning leased equipment. We work with our clients to simplify the return of leased equipment and prevent unnecessary charge backs. Our services include repair, cosmetic refurbishment, removal of company applied asset tags, data erasure and packing and shipping the leased equipment back to the leasing company. RecycleX uses commercial and proprietary software to erase hard drives. Our processes are compliant with NIST 80-888 r1 and HMG IA Standard No. 5. Bulk erasure at our facilities is controlled via formalised standard operating procedures to ensure all hard drives are 100% overwritten, and that no hard drive is skipped in the process.
If you need to witness the destruction of your company’s electronic media, you are welcome to do so at our processing facility. Alternatively, we will provide a video recording or a webcam link so that you can witness the destruction remotely. Witnessed hard drive destruction is useful for our clients to verify their media is destroyed and, in some instances, that their hardware is destroyed under our brand protection services.
With degaussing, powerful electromagnetic fields are used to destroy data. It’s quick and easy, and the magnetic charge renders data unrecoverable. This method is only effective on magnetic drives and tapes. Degaussing does not destroy data on solid state hard drives.
Our hard drive crushers offer a quick, convenient way to destroy small hard drives volumes (fewer than 100). It is suitable for magnetic hard drives, backup tapes and solid state drives.
Any data-bearing media that our clients do not want to reuse or resell is physically destroyed. RecycleX uses state-of-the-art, high-capacity hard drive shredders to destroy all data-bearing media.
RecycleX guarantees complete digital data destruction and provides Certificates of Recycling as well as Certificates of Data Destruction regardless of the method used.
